Tim is the Director of Compliance, Safety, and Governmental Relations at Vertis, where he is responsible for ensuring operational compliance and licensing for ten DCC licenses. He also directs the safety program at Vertis, ensuring the safety of all 100 employees. Previously, Tim served as the Senior Vice President of Cannabis Business Relations at Pacific Valley Bank, playing a key role in providing traditional financing to the cannabis sector.

His career includes serving as the Director of Compliance and Governmental Affairs for Kiva Confections, a leading cannabis edibles company, where he was responsible for managing compliance across multiple licenses and representing the company with state regulators. Tim also held the position of Compliance and Policy Director at Origin House, where he managed compliance for acquisitions and directed a comprehensive legislative package in collaboration with California’s regulatory agencies.

Before entering the cannabis industry, Tim was the Director of Legislative and Regulatory Affairs for Board of Equalization Member Fiona Ma, contributing to the State Treasurer’s Cannabis Banking Work Group and the San Francisco Cannabis Task Force. His early career in public service includes roles in the California State Assembly, where he served in various clerical positions, culminating as the Assembly Daily File Clerk.

Tim earned his degree in Government with high honors from California State University, Sacramento, in 2008.
